Quite delicious!

Have made these a couple of times. Very tasty. The lavender isn't overwhelming. My one question, if you want to roll this dough out and cut it into shapes, what do you have to do differently? The dough as the recipe makes it is too sticky too roll and cut, even after being refrigerated. Do you need to add a little more flour?

Owner Response: Thank you for your feedback! The easiest way to roll this dough out would be with a dusting of flour and to roll it between two sheets of parchment paper or two baking mats. Please feel free to email or call us with any other questions you might have. Happy baking!

What would be the equivalent of liquid lavender extract to use in this recipe?
June McCudden
Owner Response: Hello June, thank you for reaching out. When it comes to substituting lavender extract for fresh lavender, there isn't an exact amount to follow. Because flowers often vary on strength of flavor and aroma, the best thing to do is start with a small amount of the extract and test it until you have the taste you want. A few drops to begin with will work and you can increase the amount as needed, but remember that less is more when it comes to floral flavors. Please don't hesitate to reach out again with any further questions. Happy Baking!

Why does the recipe instruct you to drop dough by spoonful onto cookie sheet, yet cookies in the photo are not drop cookies? Can the dough be rolled and cut out? Thanks!
Ellen
Owner Response: Hello, Ellen. Yes, the dough can be cut out in whatever shape you want. It will also work as a drop cookie recipe, it really just depends on what type of look you're going for. If you have any further questions, you can always give us a call or email. Our customer service representatives can always help with baking questions. Happy Baking!

What is 'culinary lavender? Is it dried lavender? Where does one purchase it?
My neighbor grows Lavender, I'd love to make these cookies for her.
sylvia
Owner Response: Hello Sylvia. Yes, culinary lavender is another name for dried lavender. We do sell French Blue Lavender which is a great option. You can also take fresh lavender and dry it yourself. Feel free to email or call us if you have any further questions!
