These wafer paper images make a charming set of cookies. We added edible glitter to the cookies for just a touch of sparkle. Edible Glitter in white is # 400GLWH1.

Complete illustrated instructions for applying wafer paper to your cookies is provided with each wafer paper order. It is really easy and just takes a few steps. Leave yourself a bit of time for the process and cutting out the wafer paper designs.

We recommend our No Fail Sugar Cookie Recipe. Cut out desired shape and, after baking and cooling off, frost with White Royal Icing # ROYAL7, let dry and adhere with a thin layer of Light Karo Corn Syrup or our Clear Writing Gel # CKCL.

Note* All edible items, such as these, are non-returnable.
    What is Wafer Paper?
Wafer paper is made of dehydrated potato starch, water and vegetable oil. The thin edible paper is then pre-printed with food-safe dyes. Wafer paper is tasteless and does not "melt" into the frosting, it will remain as a thin sheet of edible paper on top of your sweet confection.

Rather than use corn syrup to attach the edible glitter.... could you use a small amount of piping gel instead?
Owner Response: Thank you for the great question. I'm not an expert on piping gel; I consulted with our expert staff and I'm coming back with this: piping gel is a perfect quick dry adhesive that permits objects small to medium, made out of wafer paper, gum paste, royal icing to be glue together immediately to fondant, cookies, buttercream, dummies or boards. We would think that it would work for you nicely. We also sell on our website Celebakes Clear Writing Gel - which would also work great.

The edible glitter looks wonderful. It looks like it was applied after the image was placed, because the image is sparkly. What are the instructions for applying the edible glitter?
Owner Response: Hello! Yes, the edible glitter was applied after the wafer paper. A very small amount of light corn syrup was applied to the cookie and then you can either sprinkle the edible glitter over top or dip the cookie in a small bowl of the edible glitter. In this example, the glitter was sprinkled over the entire cookie but it would look great just around the border as well. Happy Baking!
