Originally carved to make Marzipan, the carver thoughtfully included four women's heads so a favored one could be mounted on a heart. What appear to be two accidental markings at the top are actually two halves of flames, so "flaming hearts" could also be created. The actual size is 4.5" x 7.375".
Made by House on the Hill, this mold is designed for making pressed cookies, Springerle cookies, or paper crafting projects. Besides baking cookies, you can form beautiful, edible sweets using marzipan, fondant, and modeling chocolate. Crafters, artisans, and scrapbookers will find infinite ways of creating cards, wall art, gift bags, ornaments, and charms with these molds. Beautiful as decorating accessories, the cookie molds can be hung on a wall, displayed on a plate rack or table top easel. This mold has been made in the USA and individually hand cast and hand finished. Made of resin and wood composite.
Each mold is accompanied by a 12 page booklet of Springerle and Speculaas cookie recipes. House on the Hill is famous for their replicas of vintage cookie molds.
