Chinese Mahjong Tiles Wafer Paper

SKU #3601WPMJ1
Availability: In Stock
Let the game begin! Mahjong tiles are of Chinese origin and used to play many games, most notably Mahjong and Mahjong solitaire. Traditionally, Mahjong tiles were made of bone, but now they can be made of cookies! Our special set of 32 edible wafer paper tiles includes circle, bamboo, character, dragon, and flower tiles. Each tile is 1.5" X 2". This is a wonderful treat for your Mahjong club.

Complete illustrated instructions for applying wafer paper to your cookies is provided with each wafer paper order. It is really easy and just takes a few steps. Leave yourself a bit of time for the process and cutting out the wafer paper designs.

We recommend our No Fail Sugar Cookie Recipe. Cut out desired shape and, after baking and cooling off, frost with White Royal Icing # ROYAL7, let dry and adhere with a thin layer of Light Karo Corn Syrup or our Clear Writing Gel # CKCL.

Note* All edible items, such as these, are non-returnable.

Our cookies were delicious and everyone talked about how amazing they looked (and they did). The papers that you provided were tough and did not melt in your mouth as anticipated. So, the cookies were a disappointment after eating one,
Owner Response: CC, thank you for your review and we are glad your cookies looked great! To achieve the best results, we recommend using light Karo corn syrup or Clear Writing Gel http://www.fancyflours.com/product/Clear-Writing-Gel/s in a very thin layer. If too much is used it tends to change the texture of the paper. It is not supposed to melt in your mouth as icing sheets would but rather be crunchy and blend in with the texture of the cookie and icing.

I'm not a baker, but was able to make the cookies using this site's recipe, and the instructions on how to handle these decorations were very useful as well. Please continue offering these wafers. Many mahjong players enjoy using them.
