Don't let these black cats cross your path! Beautiful vintage postcard images of Halloween Black Cats printed on our edible wafer paper will be a great addition to your Halloween party.

Each design measures approx. 1.75" x 2.75". Set includes a total of 22 edible designs.

We used our rectangle 2" x 3" copper cutter # 42R3X2 to make these cookies, along with our Black Sanding Sugar # 5850SDBK1 to decorate the edges.

Complete illustrated instructions for applying wafer paper to your cookies is provided with each wafer paper order. It is really easy and just takes a few steps. Leave yourself a bit of time for the process and cutting out the wafer paper designs.

We recommend our No Fail Sugar Cookie Recipe. Cut out desired shape and, after baking and cooling off, frost with White Royal Icing # ROYAL7, let dry and adhere with a thin layer of Karo Syrup.

What is Wafer Paper? Wafer paper is made of dehydrated potato starch, water and vegetable oil. The thin edible paper is then pre-printed with food-safe dyes. Wafer paper is tasteless and does not "melt" into the frosting, it will remain as a thin sheet of edible paper on top of your sweet confection.

These were a huge hit at my daughter's workplace, a major art foundation in NYC. We have a black cat, and her co-workers love cats. Am buying them again this year. Fancy Flour's sugar cookie recipe is so much better than using supermarket roll cookies. FF doesn't spread and bakes up the same size and shape as you cut it. Just pay attention to the time span: you can't bake, ice and put wafers on all in one afternoon. You have to let the icing set overnight.
