
A rare bridal couple made by Josefina Aguilar. Josefina in considered a master clay sculpter and is one of the most collectable comptemporary folk artists in Mexico. Her whimsical folk-art pieces are fine examples of a time-honored traditional handicraft called muñecas. The Aguilar family is world renowned for clay figurine art and they originate from the village of Ocotlán, Oaxaca, Mexico. This unusual bride and groom captures Josefina's trademark joyful celebration of everyday life and cultural traditions of pueblo life in Mexico. Bride is about 6-1/8" tall, 4" wide, 2" deep. Groom is about 6-1/8" tall, 2-3/8" wide, 1-5/8" deep.
