An extremely rare vintage military wedding cake topper circa 1940 in mint condition. The bride and groom are chalkware and stand on a sugar platform. The groom is wearing a sailor's uniform and the bride is in a 1930's vintage dress and still has her original net veil. A floral arch surrounds the couple. The firgures are in mint condition, but the groom has a stress fracture at his neck which does not detract from the beauty of the piece. The bottom sugar work is perfect. From the appearance of this piece, it does not appear that it has ever been used. A very unusual find. This topper is approximately 65 years old.
