A charming example of Japanese bisque, this vintage wedding cake topper measures approximately 3.25" H and 2.25" W across the base. "Our Wedding Day" is embossed on the rim of the base, which is stamped Made in Japan in red ink. The bride and the groom have been hadpainted, and the groom has some paint loss. The bride's wedding gown is representative of the period and she is wearing a a flapper cap banded in light green. This piece has a 1/16" inch thick glass dome, which has been glued to the base of the topper. The dome has bubble inclusions, found in old glass.. This piece is approximately 80 years old.
