Marshmallow Halloween Cupcakes


You will need:
• Black Pisa Muffin Cups (SKU: 7100-VI-PBK-1)
• Orange Sanding Sugar (SKU:5850-SD-OR-1 )
• Black Sanding Sugar (SKU: 5850-SD-BK-1)
• Black Sprinkles (SKU: 5950-SK-BK-1)
• Orange Sprinkles (SKU: 5950-FL-OR-1)
• Orange Sprinkles (SKU: 5800-HW-SP-1)
• 1 bag large marshmallows
• Your favorite cupcake recipe
• Your favorite frosting recipe (we love buttercream)
• Decorating bag and large star tip (optional)


Instructions:
• Bake cupcakes according to instructions in black pisa muffin cups. Let cool.
• While cupcakes are cooling, prepare the frosting and set aside. Dye using Electric Orange and Super Black food coloring, if desired.
• Cut marshmallows into disc shapes using kitchen shears. Lay on cutting board or wax paper surface. Marshmallow pieces will be sticky.
• Immediately sprinkle marshmallows with alternating black sanding sugar and orange sprinkles or orange sanding sugar and black sprinkles. Lightly press into sticky surface of marshmallow.
• Frost each cupcake using a decorating bag or a spatula.
• Arrange marshmallow pieces in a flower-like pattern on top of each cupcake. You can also top cupcakes with Sugar Pumpkin Cut-Outs.
• Display on cake plate and serve. We used: Noire Cake Pedestal (SKU: 650804-1)
