An Old World Santa named for the region from which the original mold is from, Biberach an der Riss in Germany. The original mold dates to about 1850. This faithful reproduction of the original measures 10 3/8? x 5 5/8? and will produce a very dimensional cookie that measures 8? x 3?. Handcrafted by artisan and baker Ken Hamilton, this beautiful mold is a reproduction of an antique cookie mold that has been re-cast in food safe resin. The artist's signature is on the back of every mold he produces. It has been hand made and designed with the baker in mind to be durable and user friendly. For this reason, this thoughtfully produced mold may not appeal to the collector, but the serious baker will cherish it. The mold is made of resin with no stain applied so there will never be anything to flake or wear off onto your dough. PLEASE NOTE: This mold does not have the appearance of wood because no stains are used to give the wood look. This mold is designed for designed for the professional baker as well as the home baker and it not the prettiest, but it is certainly the most durable. A small hole has been added to the back for hanging if you wish.
