Lavender Flower Syrup is made by the famous French company Le Pere Pelletier. Long considered an aphrodisiac, denoting love and romance, lavender was historically used to spice the food of queens, colonists and conquerors. Lavender was then brought from Europe to the Americas, where it was grown as an herb of hospitality, medicine, perfume and spice.
This delicious flavored syrup is from the countryside of France and has so many uses--a wonderful and unexpected gastronomic surprise. Comes in a beautiful 8.8 oz jar. One additional note, the dried lavender used to flavor this syrup gives it a lovely pale hue.
